Different versions available

Why use the BonFlash strobe beacon?

  • Suitable for any alarm indication including mains failure 
  • No extra (rechargeable) battery necessary. Due to the very low power consumption, the strobe beacon can be powered by the internal batteries of the control unit (version C; currently only compatible with selected sewage treatment plants control units)

Versions A/AD

BonFlash powered and recharged by external, non-buffered source.
This is a suitable and economic solution to use the strobe beacon as accessory to control units from other manufacturers in large quantities. The BonFlash is equipped and buffered with own, rechargeable batteries. These batteries are recharged by a power source from the control unit. In case this power source is interrupted, the beacon starts to signal. 

Alarm:
Alarm relay of the control unit is “open”, no power supply is available, so BonFlash is signaling.

Mains Failure:
Alarm relay (N.O.) of the control unit is “open”, or power supply is available, so BonFlash is signaling.

This version is equipped with a button to test the beacon operation or to cancel / acknowledge the signalization.

Versions B/BD

BonFlash controlled by external potential-free contact.
This is the most easy and general solution to use the strobe beacon as accessory to control units from other manufacturers. The BonFlash is equipped with own alkaline batteries. In case the potential free output (alarm relay) of the control unit is switched (N.C./N.O. configured by jumper within the BonFlash), the beacon starts to signal. 

Alarm:
Alarm relay of the control unit is active, BonFlash is signaling.

Mains Failure:
Alarm relay of the control unit is active, BonFlash is signaling.

This version is equipped with a button to test the beacon operation or to cancel / acknowledge the signalization.
The battery standby time is longer than 4 years (new, quality batteries). 

Versions C/CD

BonFlash powered by external 5V DC, buffered source.
This is the most convenient and economic solution. The strobe beacon is powered by the BONNEL control units or the internal batteries of the control unit (the beacon has no internal batteries). 

Alarm:
BonFlash is signaling, power is supplied from the control unit.

Mains Failure:
BonFlash is signaling, power is supplied from the rechargeable batteries of the control unit. 

Version MD

BonFlash powered by external 230V AC source.
This is the most deployable solution. The strobe beacon is powered by any 230V AC alarm output.

Alarm:
BonFlash is signaling, power is supplied (switched) from the control unit.

Mains Failure:
not available (no internal battery).
