  • Plug‑and‑play installation and connection

The BonMon Wi-Fi has been designed as a comfortable and adaptable Control Unit for price sensitive markets. It is compact and aesthetic and can be used for different plant types.

Versatile use in different plant types

The device supports a wide range of common decentralized sewage treatment plant designs. The treatment process can be time‑synchronized via real‑time clock (RTC) to execute specific process steps at fixed times of day.

At MBBR/FBBR/SAF plants, one output can be used for the blower, the second one either for a recirculation valve, a recirculation submersible pump or a pumped outlet.

At One-Tank SBR plants, two use cases are possible. Either one output controls the blower and the second output a 3/2 valve (valve with one inlet and two outlets, switches between the outlets). Or one output controls the blower and the aeration valve, the second one the blower and the clearwater valve. Another option is to run the blower via one output and a submersible clearwater pump via the second output.

All legally required functions included

The BonMon Wi-Fi meets all current EU requirements for control units used in decentralized sewage treatment plants:

  • Acoustic alarm signalling: All alarm states can be signalled via the integrated high‑volume buzzer.
  • Blower monitoring: The blower is monitored via its current consumption. That works for all membrane blowers with automatic detection of a broken membrane. Current limits for both outputs can be detected automatically by the device.
  • Valve monitoring: Thanks to the optimized two‑stage amplifier in the current‑monitoring circuit, even solenoid valves can be monitored by their current consumption. Higher loads up to 4 A are also supported.
  • High-level alarm: The optional digital input (SELV / safe voltage 5 V DC) allows connection of a high‑level float switch. Alternatively, it can be used for other potential‑free signals, such as a motor protection (“trip”) output.
  • Mains failure alarm: An optional rechargeable Li‑Pol battery supplies the BonMon Wi‑Fi during mains failures and enables acoustic signalling of this error state. In addition, it buffers the real‑time clock (RTC).
Output timing parameters and ECO-modes

ON and OFF times for each output can be preset and modified via the web interface. Outputs can also be coupled for sludge removal; in this mode, the blower is automatically activated when the sludge removal valve opens.

To reduce blower runtime and energy consumption, the system can distinguish between normal and reduced load conditions. For example, blower ON times can be reduced during holidays or weekends.

The ECO mode can be programmed:

  • For nighttime operation
  • For weekends or weekdays
  • For defined holiday periods by entering the duration of absence
Web-based user interface

The web‑based user interface is accessible via Wi‑Fi using any device with a web browser, including laptops, tablets and smartphones.

If Wi‑Fi credentials are lost, a simple and secure recovery procedure is available (optional).

The responsive, TLS‑encrypted web pages feature a modern, app‑like design with a graphical display of the plant, connected loads and their functions. Separate access rights are available for end users and service technicians.

Included functions are:

  • Operating hours (total, per output, weekly total and per output, with alarm, in mains failure)
  •  Event log for hundreds of events including plant events and security events
  • Manual control of outputs
  • Change of ON/OFF times
  • Security and network settings
